Spring Pilgrimage Auburn – Built 1812
National Historic Landmark
Auburn is distinctive for its early colossal portico, Georgian millwork, and spiral staircase. It was built in 1812 for Lyman Harding by Levi Weeks, who was acquitted of murder in a famous New York Trial in 1800. In 1827, Dr. Stephan Duncan acquired Auburn, which his heirs donated with 203 acres to the city in 1911.
